"Lil"

I love these pictures of Lil in the outdoors. Lil is a great little girl, who loves to swim & retrieve & with the excellent training she has received from her devoted owners, she has become a great retrieving & household companion. She lives with Maria & Jim from the Kingston area & her yellow lab "sister." Her owners are seasoned lab trainers & it shows in this little girl. They easily attained Lil's WC and now their younger, yellow Staghorn girl has also attained her WC as well. Pictures to follow. Jim reported that they are as good at retrieving as some of their best ever labs, which has pleased me very much. Lil's parents are Ch. Lindenhall Legacy at Staghorn X Ch. Lindenhall's McIlwain Protege. Lil is full litter sister to our Macy and Janice and Henry's Huey.

	This is both Lil (above) and Gracie (Staghorn's Grice Under Fire, WC) This picture was taken when Gracie was only little more than 6 months old. Jim was very proud of the fact that she was "canoe trained" because a young pup can make very short work of an upright canoe in the water. Both Lil and Gracie are sired by our Mac, Ch. Lindenhall McIlwain Protege, so of course are half sisters. Both dams on these breedings are my top two dams. Chelsea (Lil's mom) is now retired and much missed missed here at Staghorn. Gracie's mom is our Patty, Ch. BNB's Plaid Skirt at Staghorn. Patty lives in a foster home and we miss her too. At Staghorn, we're not only proud of Lil and Gracie, but we're very proud of Jim and Maria too. They are excellent people and we couldn't be happier that 2 great Staghorn girls live with them and enjoy hunting and retrieving to the fullest.

	This handsome little chocolate boy is not a Staghorn Puppy, but is a son of our Buster Browne. My good friend Joanne Fernall from Devonsliegh sent his picture to us. (Thanks Jo!) Joanne co-owns him with a family. As you can see he has the typical good looks that I often see in Buster's puppies. His parents are Selamat's Kaos at Devonsleigh X Ch. Lindenhall's Buster Browne.

	This happy girl probably has my favourite name, of all the Staghorn names I've registered. It was thought of on the spur of the moment. I had suggested it because her new owner Laila is originally from Sweden, Laila liked the name & so it was. "Cleo" loves to give big wet kisses & although she's great with Laila, Mitch & their children, it's plain to see that Laila is the light of Cleo's life. Cleo's parents are Ch. Staghorn's Hot Coco X Ch. Rucon's Remington Hunter Dodge.

		Cooper owns the heart of Erika & family, now in the Toronto area. Erika & her family are very committed to dogs & to Cooper. Far left: Cooper lying on the back of one of his Gramma's Golden Retrievers. Immediate left: Cooper seems to be waiting for a bath. After all, he IS a water dog! Cooper's parents are Moosecreek's Staghorn Stella X Ch. Mollyreach Timberwood.

Staghorn's "Zack"	As you can see, Zack absolutely loves kids. Shown here with his good buddy, Dan.
Zack was orginally sold with another name, but the owner returned him, stating that he was not good with kids. I'm very confident in my breeding program & had knowlege of several generations of dogs in his pedigree & knew that he simply needed the right home. I took him back, assessed him in several different situations, & found him to be fine with everyone. Rhonda, a very sensible lady came along & fell in love with Zack. After discussing the previous owner's concerns, we further assessed him with her children & husband. Everyone loved him & he loved them. Off he went to their home, we kept in very close contact initially, assessing each step of his adjustment to his new family. Each & every email I received from Rhonda said the same thing, "there's not a mean bone in this dog's body!" Zack now lets Rhonda know when cars pull into their drive, with a woof or two, but Rhonda says he's not too convincing as a watch dog, with his tail wagging & him wiggling with excitement to see visitors. 	I have nicer pictures of Dallas, but none so "beautiful" as this one, which depicts just the kind of temperament I strive for here at Staghorn. When Brad & Megan first purchased Dallas from me, they were a young couple just starting out. Later came baby Sydney, who you can see, is the pride & joy of Dallas. This picture warms my heart, & reminds me of raising my 2 babies with our old black male, their protector, Chester. You can see the love & devotion in Dallas' eyes. Dallas' parents are Elgin's Staghorn Hey Macarena X Ch. Corhampton's Minstrel Dancer. Dallas' father was the Number 1 lab in Canada, 1997. Dallas' mom, Rena, can be seen on the current events page, and she too absolutely adores babies.
