Abby

Abby Summer 2003

Staghorn's Abbygale
"Abby"
This sweet little girl Abby, headed off to Halifax, to the home of Nancy & Tony and their daughter. Nancy had previously purchased a dog from Staghorn, and upon moving in to their new home, they were thrilled to add Abby to the "decor." Abby is a fast learner & Nancy is very pleased with how quickly she is learning new skills. Abby's parents are Moosecreek's Staghorn Stella X Ch. Mollyreach Timberwood.

Hank on Couch
Hank is a Mac son, & is our Rena's litter brother. Hank looks a great deal like his dad. Hank totally owns the heart of Ruth, in Toronto, (and family.) Rarely have I seen such a bond between a dog & his "momma" except of course, for the bond between Mac & myself. It warms my heart to see how loved this boy is by his mom & his family. Hank's parents are Elgin's Arabus X Ch. Lindenhall's McIlwain Protege.

Maisey
Shown here as a baby, Maisey has grown to be a wonderful family pet, who owns Gale & family in Ottawa. From the very beginning Gale showed me the most heartwarming commitment to this special little puppy. At about 6 months, Maisey, Gale & family stopped by for a visit. Maisey has grown to be a VERY nice looking gal, with a great family & her own (very well behaved) children who she clearly loves as playmates. Maisey's parents are Lindenhall's Cashmere X Ch. Lindenhall's Buster Browne.

Ruffles

Raffles owns the hearts of Dave & his wife, in Burlington. Raffles was a very nice puppy, very dark & loaded in bone. This picture was taken when she was very young, I hope to get an updated picture of her soon, showing how she has matured. Raffle's parents are Elgin's Staghorn Hey Macarena X Can. Am. Ch. Borador's Exch at Devonsleigh. Raffles sire is the Number One Lab in Canada, (2002)

Raffle's litter-sister Sadie is seen below.

Sadie

Sadie the lovely lady! Sadie owns the hearts of Stuart, Deborah, MacKenzie & Kylie, in the Cornwall area, as well as all the customers who come into their gift store, where Sadie greets everyone daily. She is a great ambassador for Staghorn, many inquiries & referrals come from people who meet & love her. Sadie's entire family have become like family to us here, they visit often & we are quite fond of their daughters. McKenzie loves dogs & has a manner that the dogs seem to love. From the beginning Sadie & "Mackie" were inseparable. Sadie is the image of her mother, Rena. When Stuart gave me some photos of her, including the one above, we compared her to the pictures of Rena on the bulletin board in the "real" Staghorn's Hall of Fame. We agreed their heads & faces were identical. Sadie is a litter sister to Raffles above, parents are Elgin's Staghorn Hey Macarena X Can. Am. Ch. Borador's Exch at Devonsleigh.

We watched young Kylie go from being petrified of dogs, to loving Labs so much, that she got a puppy to call hers. (Maggie, Sadie'shalf sister.) Bottom, both Sadie & Maggie together. Little Maggie is learning from her big sister Sadie, and she too, is becoming a wonderful pet. Both dogs are now a hit at the gift store, as well as "regulars" at the Tim Hortons drive through window every morning, for their treats. Deborah reports that Sadie has already trained Maggie to be on her best behaviour at the store. Maggie's parents are Elgin's Staghorn Hey Macarena X Lindenhall's Mark.

Max

 Staghorn's Maximus Aurelius

"Max"

In the picture on the left, you must look carefully to see Max's birthday cupcake, which was celebrating his 1st birthday. Max is litter brother to Huey, Denver, Lil,& Macy. Max lives with Shaun in Ottawa, & Jazz, a chocolate boy from our friends at Mooselake Labradors. The 2 boys are best buddies & have a great life with Shaun. Shaun took Max to play in the park one day in Ottawa, where he began playing with a black female lab. The 2 owners began talking & realized that this was mother & son playing. Chelsea is retired & also lives in Ottawa. Such a co-incidence! Max's parents are Ch. Lindenhall Legacy at Staghorn X Ch. Lindenhall's McIlwain Protege.

Chet and Tycra

Chet owns Boyd & Annette, in the Ottawa area. He is shown here with his friend Tycra, (not sure where she's from.) Boyd recently emailed us & said Chet is very social, good natured, never barks, has been to obedience school, is very athletic, loves the sailboat & is a good swimmer. Quote "I don't believe we could improve on Chet with a thousand other choices. Thank you for letting us take him."

Chet's parents are Ch. Staghorn's Hot Coco X Ch. Rucon's Remington Hunter Dodge.

As you can see in these recent photos of Chet (and his dad, Boyd) taken in December of 2005, Chet has matured into a lovely boy. His mother, our Coco, was a wonderful producer and Chet is no exception.
