This is me and Tiehack in 1999.
Hi. Welcome to my home page and thanks for dropping by. My name is Linda and I am the mother of two grown children, Tom and Terri, and I'm also Gramma to Terri & Ryan's gorgeous little girls Leah Jane and Stella Dawn. Tom and his lovely partner Josslyn are expecting a baby girl very soon too. So my husband Harold and I feel blessed to have such a great family.
Being a mother and grandmother is in addition to being "momma" to several lab kids and a special friend and caregiver to Sherry. (The animals never talked back, came home late, got in trouble with the police, or threw wild parties, however they too, have always eaten me out of house and home.)
After being raised by my father, who was an avid duck hunter who raised and trained Labradors, in an urban area near Toronto, I moved to the eastern Ontario area in 1976. I raised my two kids as a single mom and attained my education. I worked as an Addiction Counsellor for over 10 years. After a career change, I now work in a slightly different behaviour change program, as a Correctional Program Officer in a federal corrections facility.
In my spare time I enjoy socializing with friends, and many activities related to my dogs. I am the Past President of the Eastern Ontario Labrador Breeder's Association, (EOLBA) and a member of both the Labrador Owner's Club (L.O.C.) and the Labrador Retriever Club of Canada, (L.R.C.C.) I spend my leisure time attending events such as dog shows, sanctioned matches and classes.
Here (right) is me and my husband, Harold. We were married on April 15, 2000, in the company of many of our breeder friends and of course, family. Harold enjoys the dogs and helps me with all our activities. Our granddaughters call him "Opa," which is Dutch for Grandfather. Harold's Mom is "Oma."
