"Louis" (Pronounced "Lewie")

Our Louis is maturing very nicely. He is a very people oriented dog, and didn't seem happy in a kennel situation. Some dogs are simply like that and are happier when not shairing the attention with other dogs. He enjoyed his one on one time at show handling classes, out running with "Dad" in our larged fenced field, and when it was his turn to come into the house. However, once he had to be separated from his litter sister, Laura, he never seemed happy in the kennel. We began to feel that he really would be happier in a foster or co-owned home. Well, to our delight, a couple who had already owned a Staghorn chocolate male, and who had trained him impeccably for hunting came along and showed interest in Lou and after much consideration, we decided to let Louis go to live with Beata and Chris. He will be much cherished there, and will receive the attention he deserves and craves. Upon final hip, elbow and another cerf clearance, Louis will be shown, and will be available at Stud at Staghorn. Until that time, he will enjoy life inside a home and a family, full time. I was very sad to see him go, but am also very happy for Lou that he will get what he deserves in life. He is very well put together, has the dark chocolate coat, the conformation and the outgoing personality that I have been dreaming of. He is really a dark brown version of our McDuff, excellent head, coat, bone and tail. He is wihtout question, the nicest chocolate Labrador that I have ever produced. Louis has the outgoing and happy temperament which we love.Our fingers are crossed that his final clearances will come through, and that he will continue to be able to enjoy the best of both worlds, living with his family and coming home to his Staghorn family from time to time, who love him too. Be a good boy, Lou. Watch for this lad in the future.
